Coronation Day Celebrations

Prior to the Coronation of King Charles III all the children enjoyed finding out about the life of the King and the important work he had done as the Prince of Wales. They also learnt about the coronation ceremony for King Charles and Queen Camilla, including the special symbols of royalty he would be given during the ceremony, for example the orb, the spectre and the coronation ring. The children suggested to the School Council how they would like to celebrate the day. The children came to school dressed in red, white and blue with flags and crowns. They enjoyed a street party and the highlight of the day was performing their coronation song to their parents.
