Who's Who

Miss Alison Watts is our Head Teacher, who is responsible for Staff Development, Assessment, Collective Worship and is Curriculum Subject Leader. In addition she is the Subject Leader for English and is the Designated Safeguarding Lead. She is a teacher in Year 2 and teaches English in Year 2. She is also the Executive Headteacher of Widcombe CofE Junior School. 

 

Miss Kate Lawson is one of our Deputy Headteachers and is a teacher in Year 2. She is responsible for Racial Equality. She is the Mathematics Subject Leader and History Subject Leader. She is a member of the Leadership Team. 

 

 

Mrs Sophie Turner is one of our Deputy Headteachers and is a teacher in Year 2. She is our Special Educational Needs and Disability Leader. She works with children in small groups helping them build up their English and Mathematic skills. She is responsible for Partnerships, Community Links and Outreach. She is also Subject Leader for Music. She is a member of the Leadership team.

 

Miss Bennath Atkinson is a teacher in Year 2. She is the Subject Leader for Geography, PSHE (Personal, Social, Health Education) and DT (Design Technology).

 

Miss Helen Gammon is a teacher in Year 1. She is Subject Leader for Computing and is the Designated Child Protection Teacher.

 

Mrs Jessica Cubitt is a teacher in Year 1. She is Art Subject Leader and the Drama Subject Leader.

 

Mrs Nickie Burrows is a Teacher in Year 1 for 2 days a week and works as a SEND Teaching Assistant in Reception 2 days a week. She is also a Thrive Practitioner and a Lunchtime Supervisor.

 

Mrs Nikki Abreu is a teacher in Reception. She is the Leader for Early Years and the Subject Leader for RE. 

 

Miss Ceri Morris is a teacher in Reception. She is the Leader for Forest School and Outdoor Play and Learning. 

 

Mrs Rebecca Jefferies is the Subject Leader for English. She supports small groups in English and Mathematics.

 

Mrs Jackie Peacock is our French teacher teaching French to all the children across the year groups and our OPAL Leader (Outdoor Play and Learning). She also works as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant in Year 1 teaching and supporting small groups across the curriculum. She delivers the Early English Programme in Year 1 and is also a Lunchtime Supervisor.

 

Mrs Trudie Beech is our Computing teacher teaching Computing linked to the currculum as a tool for learning. She also works as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant in Year 1 teaching and supporting small groups of children across the curriculum. She leads Thrive work in the school, delivers the Early English Programme in Year 1 and also assists with administration.

 

Mrs Sophie Carter is our School Business Administrator.

 

Mrs Jane Coates is a Higher Level Teaching Assistant in Year 1 and Year 2, working with children individually or in small groups to support their basic skills learning. She supports the teaching of French and Computing linked to the curriculum as a tool for learning. In addition she is a Lunchtime Supervisor.

 

Mrs Jo Salmon is a Teaching Assistant in Year 2 and supports children's reading in Year 1 and Year 2. She is also a Lunchtime Supervisor.

 

 

Mrs Beatrice Quintin is a Teaching Assistant in Reception 3 days a week and is a Lunchtime Supervisor.

 

Mrs Jane Badger-Stevens is a Teaching Assistant in Reception 3 days a week and is a Lunchtime Supervisor.

 

Mrs Gemma Rosser is a Higher Level Teaching Assistant and works as our Lead SEND Teaching Assistant across the school supporting children with Special Educational Needs.

 

Mrs Sarah Geddis is a SEND Teaching Assistant working in Reception  with children with Special Educational Needs.

 

 

Miss Millie Bliss, Mrs Jane Badger-Stevens and Mrs Gemma Rosser are Breakfast Club Supervisors.
